size="+1">Z-node of the Planetary Collegium based at the University of

href="http://www.artists-in-labs.ch"><font face="Times New Roman"

face="Times New Roman" size="+1">). Z-node is a research program with
a dedicated group of 15 international PhD candidates who meet
regularly in the Institute of Cultural Studies, Academy of Art and
Design, Zurich, Switzerland. </font></blockquote>

<blockquote type="cite" cite><font face="Times New Roman"
size="+1">The main aims of Z-node are to explore the collaborative
potentials of design, art, science and technology, to analyze
methodologies as well as critical and ethical discourses in relation
to sustainability and to focus on the impact of technology,
communication and electronic innovations on
society. </font></blockquote>

<blockquote type="cite" cite><font face="Times New Roman"
size="+1">The artists-in-labs program provides artists with long-term
opportunities to learn in scientific environments and create
interpretations from their experiences. It is an on-going residency
program, which also perpetrates trans-disciplinary comparisons between
art, science and the general public.</font></blockquote>

<blockquote type="cite" cite>I hope these can generate further
discussion in the future-as the research in both these programs are
evolving processes based on very particular contexts.</blockquote>
