Opening October 2nd 18:30

Organized by APO33, Nantes, France

apo33.org

@ La Plateforme Intermédia

4 Boulevard Léon Bureau, 44200, Nantes

"October 92" presents a series of audio-video installations by Katherine Liberovskaya, created in collaboration with Phill Niblock (1933–2024), a central figure of intermedia art. Through projected images and dense sound layers, the works explore slowness, repetition, and deep listening.

The exhibition opens on Thursday, October 2 at 6:30 PM, on the date that would have marked Phill Niblock’s 92nd birthday — a tribute to his memory and to more than two decades of artistic collaboration with Liberovskaya.

- Exhibition dates: October 3 – November 9, 2025

Open Fridays & Saturdays | 14:00-18:00

- Concert — Saturday, October 4 at 18:00

Local musicians will perform several works by Phill Niblock, immersing audiences in his radical and demanding music, where dense textures and microtonal layers expand the experience of time.

* AS WELL

Since early June 2025 the transfer of all 400 EI concert recording DATS has been completed by our amazing engineer Garry Rindfuss.

We've saved the DATs!

Many thanks again to all of you who have contributed to our fundraiser for this crucially important endeavor and especially to major benefactor Mr Les Shimmin from Sydney, Australia. Mr. Shimmin, who passed away in 2024 and his son, Nick Shimmin, who agreed to use a portion of his estate to promote experimental music and art. Indeed, after occasional meetings with Phill Niblock over the last 15 years, Nick understood the importance of the digitization of the EI DAT recordings. Once more a huge Thank You on behalf of Experimental Intermedia, and all the musicians and composers who are assisted by this generous donation.
