[iDC] Why do we need physical campuses?

I suppose it _was a long time ago... there was an
empowering/stimulating sense of open-free-accessible, even
ideological space on collegial campuses... an
architecture-student might be intrigued to note that since
the 70's(?) in N.America there are now rarely any
tossable-objects around (like decorative rocks) and the
campus-ground design is open (in a different manner), so as
to enable immediate deployment of troops/vehicles to counter
any sudden 'protest' but these virtual-days enable an
essentially non-contestable immediate elimination of any
perceived 'potential dissent'...  so, do you really want to
trade your desktop for the courtyard? well, it probably
makes little-to-no difference at this juncture -- I just
hope the finale is spectacular/really-final!!
