<p style="">I'm Gavin Mueller, a Ph.D. candidate in cultural studies at George Mason University. My dissertation research, which I'll be presenting at the conference, examines the work of media production and distribution which falls under the category of "piracy,"

 in both the online and offline worlds. I'm interested in the intersection of labor and intellectual property, and, more generally, cultural production under new technical and social conditions. I'm a contributing editor as Jacobin Magazine and Viewpoint Magazine, and I'm

 interested in the potential for digital labor struggles to contribute to left politics in general. <br>
