Dear Thinglings,

for the past weeks we have seen an unusual amount of phishing activities from
actors claiming to represent thing.net.  Please do not click on any links in
these email messages!  Hint: always check the link's URL and if it is not
thing.net - and I bet it won't be - immediately delete the email.  The usual
scam is a story about your email going to be shut down or something similar.
I know most of you by now can recognize a scam when they see it, but I just
want to remind all of you to remain vigilant, so you won't be surprised when
your friends receive V!4GR4 spam with your email attached to it.  Besides, it
is also a lot of trouble for us to clean up the mess when an email account is
compromised and used as a spam cannon.
