   Re Aramco:  The ads, on digital display in Times Square, that say that they'll get around to renewables after 50 years or so of fossil depletion.  That, they say, is true "sustainability." These ads are similar in voice to those of Repsol (Spain) and Exxon:  that "we" are going to do the transition to renewables, e.g., microalgae, but after we've kept up the cash flow with fossils, and supply of hydrocarbons is OUR business.  This is exactly what a Shell executive (in charge of tar sands; he flinched when he said that) explained to me in 2013, also remarking on a college classmate who became No. 3 there (since then dead): "you will not be allowed."
