*Experimental Intermedia Salon*: R. Luke Du Bois // Femi Fleming (Sadnoise)
- at Various/Artists Saturday
28 *
R. Luke DuBois ia a composer, performer, conceptual new media
artist, programmer, record producer and pedagogue, based in New York City,
mining the intersection of art, culture and technology, often expanding or
contracting perspectives or timespans to accentuate aspects of each work;
he is the co-chair of the department of Technology, Culture, and Society
and research director of the programs in Integrated Design & Media at the
NYU Tandon School of Engineering; www.lukedubois.com
Providence-based Femi Fleming discusses the cybernetics of afrosurrealism
through space forward synthesis, diy electronics and live coding languages.
Through installations, documentation, and ritual sonic acts, Sadnoise
investigates how sound systems, landscapes, and digital networks can become
spaces for collective listening and reflection; Femi approaches sound in
conversation with architectural design as a political intervention enacted
through vibration, embodied experience, and spatial interaction; Notable
performances include the Sonic Acts Biennial (2026, NL), Waterworks
Festival (2024, MA), and Ende Tymes (2022, NY), among others;

Various/Artists Monday
30*
9 Movements is a collaborative audiovisual work that evolved from a
mutually agreed upon durational structure; the sound by Barcelona-based
Barbara Held was the result of several months of intensive experimentation
to create a hybrid sonic fusion by blending and modulating the timbre of
the flute with the pure frequencies of a small MOOG synthesizer;

Currently South-Florida-based Richard Garet's moving image creations strike
an intricate balance between beauty and unease; his exploration focuses on
the essence of material sources and the intricate processes of image
composition, emphasizing luminosity, color, movement, and real-time light
phenomena; www.richardgaret.com
